Luna to 'Free Somebody'

Luna will hit K-pop scene with her first solo album. 

On May 31 at midnight, she will release her first mini album ‘Free Somebody’ to fascinate music fans. 

In particular, title song ‘Free Somebody’ is an electronic pop dance song mixed with future house sound. The lyrics wish people can spread their wings to find their true egos and Luna’s powerful voice doubled up the song’s charms. 

Moreover, Luna prepared unique performances for the song to show powerful and groovy choreography and she is ready to catch fans’ eyes with it. 

Before she releases her first solo album, she will air live ‘Luna Free Somebody preview’ show through Naver V-app to talk about various stories of her album.

Meanwhile, Luna’s first mini album ‘Free Somebody’ will be available on May 31.

(Taipei May 24, 2016) Amber An and “young hunk” Derek (Zhang) showed up at the presser to present their TV series “Prince of Wolf”.

Amber said Derek had a star face and praised him as “Junior Joseph Cheng”. She also nicknamed him the “forest boy” as he played a boy raised by wolves. 

As a courageous and independent photographer in the series, Amber joked that she finally played a brainy character. To interpret the character well, she took photography lessons and tried to understand the world of a photographer.

She even cut her long hair, worked out hard and kept a diet to reduce her body fat, and was praised by Derek as beautiful and slim.

(Hong Kong May 23, 2016) When attending the launch of the environmental protection TV program “Nature and Man in One”, Gigi Leung shared her thoughts on the issue. 

She said Hong Kong is not good enough in environmental protection and needed to work harder.  

As a person concerned about environmental protection, Gigi does not use air conditioner at home and always used her own tote bag. 

Her husband is accustomed to these habits, and their daughter has been trained since she was a baby, “She runs and sweats and is prone to catch a cold with the air conditioner on.”  

She taught their daughter not to waste food and they did not mind giving away her second-hand clothes and toys. 

Due to the copyright issues between TVB and Universal Music, Gigi was somewhat affected. She would like to sing “Fireworks” but was forced to sing a new one for a TVB show.  

She said, “I haven’t sung on TV and would like to sing some oldies. I hope that the problem can be settled soon and the producer needs respect. A TV station this big is supposed to have more budget for this.”

Why Jessica Jung Burst Into Tears

Jessica Jung was involved in a live video stream with fans to mark the release of her debut album.

Halfway through the video however, she burst into tears.

According to Koreaboo, this happened after she held up a letter from a fan who said she was deeply comforted by Jessica Jung’s song after her mother died of cancer and that she had found strength listening to her music.

Jessica Jung was unable to hold the tears while reading the letter.

She continued to thank the fans for their support and promised to create more music for them.

Ruby Lin Is Finally Dating

Stepping out of the friend zone after 10 years, Taiwanese television stars Ruby Lin and Wallace Huo have announced that they are dating.

The announcement, which was made by Huo, 36, on Weibo last Friday (May 21) and confirmed by Lin, 40, is a first for the actress, who had never disclosed her past relationships, said Apple Daily.

Returning to Taipei last Saturday, after visiting Huo on the set of his film in Qingdao, China, Lin was collared by reporters at the airport. Asked what she loves the most about her boyfriend, she answered: "Please, we're old friends."

Apple Daily, quoting the couple's friends, said the stars got together only four months ago, around Lin's birthday.

The two met on the set of the 2006 drama Sound Of Colors. They had feelings for each other over the years, but it was never the right time, because one or the other would be dating someone else, said the report.

As good friends, they have been to each other's family gatherings, and Lin's father was once curious to know why she had never considered dating the sensible and polite Huo.

In recent years, Huo has attended all of Lin's birthday parties, and prepared gifts, said the report. At the party this year, both were single and their friends strongly advised them to go for it.

Chen Zihan Marries To Dai Xiangyu

Actor Dai Xiangyu, who rose to fame for his role as Yamamoto Yousuke in the 2008 Channel 8 blockbuster series The Little Nyonya, will marry Chinese actress Chen Zihan in December this year.

Dai, 31, proposed to the Chen, 38, on Wednesday (May 18), reports The Straits Times.

According to The New Paper, they have been dating for about a year and registered their marriage today.

He told the media over the phone from Beijing in Mandarin: "We feel that the time has come for us to be married."

He recalls the moment that she said yes: "She was very touched with my proposal, because I had her family and friends in for the surprise. We're both overjoyed to share the news with everyone."

The two were co-stars in the 2015 Chinese drama, The Girl Wearing Tassel Earrings, but met before working on the show.

"We've been dating for about a year, and we both feel that now is the right time to settle down and have kids," he says.

The wedding will be held in the mainland, but Dai says that he will invite his friends from Mediacorp over to China to celebrate the happy occasion with him.
