They say that age is just a number.
Indeed, it is the case for some very lucky female celebrities in
Asia, who were screen sirens and popular singers during the 1990s and
early 2000s.
Gigi Lai and Christy Chung have already hit the big 4-0 but they look like they haven't aged a day.
Chung, 45, proves that she's still got it when her 33-year-old actor
beau Zhang Lunshuo proposed to her during the latest taping of a Chinese
dating show.
She said 'yes' of course, and broke the hearts of middle-aged men all over Asia.
Taiwan actress Ruby Lin, 40, also recently announced that she has
been dating her longtime friend, Wallace Huo, who is four years her
junior.
While naysayers suggest that these ladies could have gotten some work
done over the years, it is undeniable that they are still smokin' hot
even in their 40s.
And how can we not include our very own homegrown actresses who
continue to defy mother nature despite their age? If only we knew their
beauty secrets.
Find out who made our list of gorgeous Asian female celebrities in their 40s.
It is even more unbelievable that some of them look better than ever before. Sammi Cheng looks more refined and elegant compare to the first time she stepped on stage performing. Kelly Chen and Shu Qi both as pretty as before while Michelle Reis simply looked stunning at the age of 45. And who could believe that the Taiwanese goddess Lin Chi Ling is already 41 years old? And what about Athena Chu? She used to be raw and have darker complexion but look at her now, more gorgeous than before.
My favourite of all has to be Sharla Cheung who played pivotal female characters in most of Stephen Chow's earlier movies. She looked pretty then but is more gorgeous now.
One can't help but wonder what are the secrets of these goddesses to their youth. Is it simply the science of plastic surgery or something deeper like happiness and emotional positiveness?
