Sui He has become the first East Asian model to open a runway show
for Ralph Lauren, and is only the second Victoria's Secret model of
Chinese descent after Liu Wen.
Sui He, 26, was born and raised in Zhejiang, China, reports The Coverage Bureau.
She started her modeling career at the age of 17, during high school, when she won a Chinese modeling contest.
From there, she received her first contract with China Bentley Culture Development Co in Beijing.
In the Fall/Winter 2011 season, Sui opened for Ralph Lauren and Vivienne Tamin New York.
Immediately, her beauty and talent were noticed by the industry
insiders and she was named as one of New York Magazine’s Fall 2011 Top
10 Faces, as well as in the top newcomers list for Style.com.
She has been in shows for many top brands such as Jean Paul Gaultier,
Missoni, Hermes, Chanel, Oscar de la Renta Dior, Mugler, Helmut Lang,
Y-3, Hermes, and Hervé Léger.
Sui was selected as the first Asian global spokesmodel and first Chinese model for Shiseido.
In just five years, Sui was on the covers for Vogue Thailand, Australia, China, U.K. and Italy.
She also joined the cast of Chinese blockbuster film “You Are My Sunshine” in 2015.
